For CDOs, CIOs and heads of data
Your data is about to be tested. Better by someone with nothing to sell.
When the CEO or CFO asks us to test an AI investment, you’re the first person we talk to. You already know where the estate is fragile. An independent read gives you the evidence pillar by pillar, a Truth Score™ (a score out of 100 for how far your data can be trusted) nobody can dismiss as self-marked, and a fix list tied to the AI the business is actually asking for.
Starts with a 30-minute call. Commits you to nothing.
Six pillars, each with what was measured, one honestly marked not assessed, and the cap at work. Illustrative example, not a client.
Real sample
See what comes back before you book. A full Truth Score Read on 72,837 records in 7 exports from CRM, finance and HR. It scored 59 out of 100, Band C, significant work needed: 823 finance customers with no CRM account, and only 13% of deals reconcile to invoices.

CDO · The moment
The board wants AI, every function has a proposal, and the honest answer about the data lands on your desk.
Sound familiar?
You know which systems don’t reconcile. Proving it takes time you don’t have.
Any readiness figure you produce yourself is read as marking your own homework.
Every AI tool assumes a single view of the customer that doesn’t exist yet.
The foundation work never gets funded, because it’s never tied to a decision.

8% of businesses say their data is fully ready to support AI at scale.

You don’t need a survey to tell you the estate isn’t ready. You need evidence of exactly where, tied to the decision the business is about to make.
What you walk away with
Evidence you can put your name to.
The memo is addressed to whoever commissions it. Everything in it is evidence you can use, including the rule that set the score.

01
Six pillars, evidenced
Accuracy, completeness, governance, consistency, connectivity and lineage, each showing what was measured and what wasn’t.
-
02
Gaps tied to decisions
Every gap linked to the AI bet it blocks, which is what gets foundation work funded.
-
03
A fix list your team owns
Prioritised, with owners, effort and a test for done. We never do the work, so nothing on it is there to create work for us.
-
04
A published rule, cap included
Accuracy, Completeness and Connectivity are critical pillars. If the weakest is below 80, the score is capped at 0.55 × that pillar + 35, so strong pillars can’t hide a weak one.
Your part
You’re our first interview, not our target.
Your CEO or CFO is the client. You are the person who makes the read accurate, and the person it helps most.
- 01
Agree the field list
We send the exact fields we need from each system. You tell us where they really live, spreadsheets included.
- 02
Run or delegate the exports
Standard exports, under NDA and our data processing agreement. No logins, nothing installed, nothing to maintain.
- 03
Tell us how it fits together
A short conversation on the estate: which system is the master for what, and what changed when.
- 04
See the records behind every finding
Our engine matches the customers, people, deals and invoices across the exports. Every red flag is checked by hand against sample records before sign-off, and you walk through the memo with the sponsor.
Where you start
Your CEO or CFO commissions it. You make it accurate.
We agree the field list with you, hear from you how the estate fits together, and you see the records behind every finding. You can also bring us in yourself, with your CEO or CFO as sponsor, when you need evidence for a decision that is already coming.
Every fee fixed and agreed before we start. None moves with the verdict.

Questions
What data leaders ask first.
What a data or technology leader asks before handing over a single export.
Book the callAre you replacing our data team?
No. We sell no software and no implementation, and we never fix what we find. Your team owns the estate and the fixes; we provide an independent read and a fix list it can work from.
How is this different from a data quality or observability tool?
Those watch the pipelines and tables you already run, one system at a time. We match records between systems, against a specific AI decision, and sign off a verdict on it. It is a service with a written memo, not a tool you install.
How is the Truth Score calculated?
Six weighted pillars: Accuracy 22%, Completeness 18%, Governance 18%, Consistency 16%, Connectivity 14%, Lineage 12%. Accuracy, Completeness and Connectivity are critical: if the weakest of them is below 80, the overall score is capped at 0.55 × that pillar + 35, rounded. In our real sample, the weighted average is 75 and Connectivity is 44, so the cap is 59: Band C, significant work needed. A pillar with too little signal is shown as limited signal or not assessed, never guessed. The methodology sets out the detail.
Will the findings be used against my team?
The memo is about the data and the decision, not people. Findings come with record counts and sample records. A gap between two systems that were never built to agree is a design fact, not a failing, and the memo says so.
Do you put our data into an AI model?
The Truth Score is rule-based: the same data, scored on the same date, gives the same score, and no AI model decides it. We do use a language model (Anthropic’s Claude, through its commercial API) to read the plan or proposal you send and to help draft the memo’s wording from our findings. A person checks every line before it reaches you. If you’d rather we didn’t use it on your engagement, say so and we do that part by hand.
What happens to our data?
It arrives as exports only, under NDA and our data processing agreement. No logins and nothing installed. The full list of sub-processors comes with our data processing agreement, before any data moves. Any transfer outside the EU is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. Raw exports are deleted after the engagement; we keep quality metrics, not your records.
